He reports that I am not strong in Classics but work well and show some appreciation of style, 8/24.

French 4/16 up to Robinson, he says I ought to do rather better, seemingly to work conscientiously but not to learn, examination poor.
Mathematics maintains a good level of work, statics and dynamics up to Goddard.
Science C2 up to Earle, “works with determination and genuine zest, doing well”. Two hours per week Chemistry.
Mr Rendall says I am working well, with good results, tho’ “I have been a long time in the Div”.
I got my remove (last place), and look forward to being up to Bather.

I started shooting, my best was 11 rabbits (ferreting) and we had much fun with them, tho’ all the holidays were very wet with muggy weather.
We also played golf, as there were tenants out of work to do the greens to which we devoted our Xmas present money. We also had a good many parties and dances, esp. a very successful servants dance with Cotillion Figures, at which we noted for the 1st time that a large proportion of the guests hired motor transport.
We played a family football match on Xmas day.
