1916 Football Term

Football Term 1916 (Aged 12)

I returned to Ludgrove on Sep 21st and found myself in Div I up to Mr Brown. I liked being up to him and he reports that I have worked steadily throughout the term and made good progress in classes. I was 5th out of 12 in final order. He also says that he was much pleased with me in every way.
In Maths up to Mr Oakley and I was 2nd in Div I being beaten by Butler. He still complains of great inaccuracy in all the elementary work, but says that otherwise my maths are promising.
In French I was 6th out of 15 in Div I up to Mr Brown who reports that I worked consistently well and made good progress.
In History Mr Smith was quite satisfied with my being 9th out of 16 in Div I whereas I think that I might have done better.
In Geography I was equal 7th out of 20 in Div I and Mr Brown says that I have done very fairly well.
Mr Smith says that my conduct has been excellent and that I have worked with steady perseverance throughout the term, that he is pleased with me in every way.
I was in the Nursery in the House, and part of the time in the Cottage, which I liked best.
I played in the 1st game all the half, and kept goal
